Mediation

Many civil matters filed in the Civil Department of the 33rd District Court can be resolved through the use of mediation.

These matters can include:

Mediation is a process where two or more people settle their problems without going to court. A neutral person called a mediator will work with all parties to assist them in reaching a mutually satisfactory and successful solution to the problem.

There are many reasons why a person might want to consider mediation. Mediation is usually free or available at low cost. It is quick, usually mediations can be scheduled within ten days; and it's effective, approximately 80% of all mediations end in an agreement.
